The permanent mural
The centrepiece of the project: a permanent mural inside the shop. Tropical foliage, saturated flowers and the artist's "Comptoir Latino" lettering, over blue, pink and orange gradients.
Step 1
Final sign-off on the mock-up with the artist; buying paint and protective sheeting.
Step 2
Wall prep (cleaning, priming) and painting of the mural, recorded in time-lapse.
Step 3
Touch-ups and protective varnish: MURAL FINISHED before the festival; teaser campaign starts.
The mural will be finished before the festival: the shop will already be living with it when the weekend starts. Its creation, filmed in time-lapse, feeds social media in the preceding weeks. No ribbon-cutting — signage in the window and on the terrace simply invites people in: "Come in and look, there's a new mural."
